Introducing Plan B

Hi there nurse!

Plan B is a 3-step plan that walks you through options to supplement your income. Option 1 is for immediate income. Option 2 is quick income within 45-90 days. Option 3 is more income in 3 months to 1 year. All three options will work, but some will work better for one person over another. Nurse Business Hub strongly recommends trying all three options. Before you browse each column list of options below, be sure to read the option category descriptions in the next section. At the end of the option categories is a sure-fire way for success called the Nurse Ecosystem Business Model.

About Option 1: This option focuses on taking actions based on what you already know how to do, bedside nursing. Here you are only arranging your work differently and consciously making a effort to earn referal fees for nursing jobs. These options are low risk business investments.

About Option 2: This option focuses on learning how to refer people to companies that sell products and earning a commission. Here you are gaining practical business skills in a secure setting without spending any or very little money upfront. These options are medium risk business investments.

About Option 3: This option focuses on learning, developing and implementing innovative ideas and turning them into a entrepreneur product or service. These options are high risk business investments.

Option 1

Sign up with every travel nurse, nursing agency and strike nursing company out there. Pick up shifts at other hospitals for a change of scenery, big money and bonus pay. Many companies pay referral commissions to nurses who refer other nurses to their company. Take advantage of it. Use social media posts and do company and assignment review videos on TikTok and You Tube. Make sure the nurse you refer gives your name. Here’s a list of the most popular nursing companies who have been in business for decades and are sound and secure.

Option 2

This is a solid way to supplement your income without having to spend a lot of money getting started. Nurses are people, and people need tangible products for their home, wellness, beauty, safety and need food every day. It also helps you build transferable business skills for another job. Making extra income is as easy as word of mouth referrals and passing out catalogs and letting customers shop online. Making You Tube videos and TikTok videos on the products you are selling is also recommended. The following list are companies you can join to sell products. Nurse Business Hub’s top choice is listed first. Here you go:

Option 3

Innovative ideas that get turned into a sound product or service you can sell is what keeps evolution going strong. There is always a better product that could be made, a better service to serve and a better way to do things that can be turned into a product or service. At the Nurse Business Hub, innovation and entrepreneuriship is strongly encouraged. Just keep in mind that it generally takes longer and more money to get started than Options 1 and Options 2. If you are suffering from severe nurse burnout and need a rapid solution, this is not the Option you should try first.

To give you a starting point, I recommend learning business fundementals from a college class or peer reviewed textbook. Learning the nomeclature will help as you explore ideas and tools from a variety of sources. Nurse Business Hub recommends the textbook titled Understanding Business by William G. Nickels. It’s available on Amazon.
